Sree Vinayaka Spices

We are located at number 4 on the Ayoor Lthikkara Road. It’s a decent enough spot, though the road can get a bit narrow and crowded when the big trucks come through. Sree Vinayaka Spices is basically a small operation where we take local produce and turn them into spices for cooking. We spend a lot of our time drying things out in the sun when the weather is clear. It’s a lot of manual labor, mostly sorting through seeds and removing small stones by hand before we grind anything. We aren't using any of that high-tech machinery you see in videos; it’s mostly old-school methods that we have used for a long time. The building itself is nothing special to look at, just a sturdy place to keep the rain off the stock. Inside, it’s usually quiet except for the sound of the heavy bags being dragged across the floor. We sell to the nearby grocery stores and some local families who have been coming to us for years. They like that they can see exactly what we’re doing with the pepper and ginger. Sometimes the crop isn't very good, and we have to tell people we’re out of stock, which is a hard conversation to have. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just rely on people knowing we are here on the road. It’s a steady pace of life and it keeps us busy enough.
