People often ask how we ended up here in Kshb Colony, but it just sort of happened over time. Padippura is a decent place to be based, even if the roads get a bit crowded during the middle of the day. At Speqo Minerals, we spend most of our time dealing with the heavy stuff, moving things around and making sure everything is weighed correctly. It’s a lot of physical work, and by the time five o’clock rolls around, everyone is usually pretty tired. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that; it’s just us doing the job we’ve been doing for years. Sometimes the equipment acts up, or a delivery is late because of a rainstorm, but we just deal with it as it comes. The office isn't much to look at, just a desk and some chairs and plenty of files stacked up in the corner. We know the neighbors pretty well, and they know the sound of our trucks by now. Working with minerals isn't exactly clean work, so there's always a bit of grit on the floor no matter how much we sweep it up. We just try to keep things moving along without too much fuss. It's a straightforward way to make a living, and we’re used to the routine of it all. Most days are about the same, which is fine by us. We just keep at it and see how the week goes.
