Siveswari Import and Export is a one-person company, or an OPC, and we are based at Lekshmibhavan, H.No. 40/12 in Perumpuzha, Kundara. The place is near Vanchimukku and is owned by Suseelamma. It is not a corporate office building, just a regular house where we handle all our business affairs. We deal with both importing and exporting different kinds of items. Most of the work involves sitting at a desk and making sure all the government regulations and shipping requirements are met. It can be a bit overwhelming for just one or two people, but we manage by taking it one step at a time. We don't have any employees in uniforms or a big warehouse. We just use the space we have here to coordinate everything. Sometimes we have to go out to meet suppliers or check on goods, but the main office is right here in the house. We started this company because we wanted to try our hand at international trade without having to work for a big firm. It’s a lot of responsibility to handle everything from the finances to the logistics. We don't have a marketing budget or any fancy ads. We just hope that by doing our work honestly, things will work out. It’s a small, humble operation and we are just trying to make it work in our local community without overcomplicating things.
