Sivamangala Coffee House & Catering

We are located in Adichanalloor, which is about 20 Km far from Kollam city. It’s a bit of a distance if you are coming from the main town center, but we like it out here in the quieter area. Sivamangala Coffee House & Catering is a bit of a dual business. In the front, we have the coffee house where locals stop in for a drink and a chat. In the back and in the side shed, we handle all the catering work. We have these huge metal pots for making big batches of food for weddings and other local functions around Adichanalloor. It’s a lot of physical work, especially the catering side of things. We start our days very early to get the fires going for the cooking and the prep work. The coffee house part is much simpler. We just have a few wooden tables and some old benches. It’s an old-fashioned kind of place. We don't have any of those modern espresso machines with all the buttons. We do it the way it’s been done here for many years. The building is quite old and sits right near the road so it's easy to see. You can see the steam from the kitchen if you pass by in the early morning. We don't do much in the way of marketing. Most of our catering jobs come from people who have eaten our food before at other events. It's a steady life here.
