Navajeevan Garments

We are situated right by St. Mary’s Malankara Catholic Church in the Pulaman area of Kottarakkara. It’s a very peaceful spot, and we can hear the church bells clearly throughout the day. Our workplace is a simple building not far from the post office. We’ve been here in this part of Kottarakkara for a long time, and everyone in the community knows where to find us. It’s not a high-tech operation; we mostly use traditional methods for our garment work. The air is usually a bit humid, and we have fans running all the time to keep the workers comfortable. We have a few long tables where we cut the fabric and several workstations for sewing. It’s a very communal atmosphere, with people chatting while they work. We don't have a big marketing budget or a website. Most of our work comes from word of mouth or people just walking in after seeing our sign near the church. On Sundays, it gets very busy around here with the church crowds, but during the week, it’s just the usual pace of the village. We take pride in the fact that we provide jobs for local women in the area. It’s a modest business that supports several families, and we’re happy to be a part of the Pulaman neighborhood. We just focus on making clothes that last and keeping our small shop running smoothly.
