Muvattupuzha Cooperative Super Speciality Hospital is set up at Azhakathu Palolimannil House. It’s located in Maramon, right in the Azhakathu area. It’s a bit of a long name for a hospital, but everyone around here just knows us for where we are. The house itself has been adapted for hospital use over the years. It has a different feel than those big, cold hospitals you see in the movies. Here at Azhakathu Palolimannil House, things feel a bit more grounded. We have various departments because we’re a super speciality place, so there’s a lot of different stuff going on under one roof. It gets quite busy, and the hallways can be a bit of a maze if you aren’t used to the layout of the old house. We don’t have a fancy marketing department writing about our vision or anything like that. We just manage the daily operations and help the people who come to Maramon seeking care. The staff here mostly live nearby, so it’s a local crowd. Sometimes the power flickers, but the generators kick in pretty fast. It’s just part of running a large facility in this location. We try to keep the wait times down, but some days it’s just not possible when the waiting room fills up. We’re just a cooperative group doing our best at this hospital.
