Le Cafe

We are based out in Anchalumoodu, which is in the Perinad area. It’s a nice part of the world, though it can get incredibly humid. Our building is simple and sits right where the local life happens. We don't have any big corporate logos or fancy glass doors. It’s more of a place where you’ll find us in our everyday clothes, probably sweating a bit because the fans don't always do the job. We’ve been here for a while, and we know the rhythms of the neighborhood. The morning starts with the sound of people heading to work, and we’re usually already inside, getting things sorted. There’s a lot of back-and-forth communication with the local suppliers. We aren't a high-tech company; we do a lot of things the old-fashioned way because it works for us. The floor is concrete and it’s seen a lot of wear over the years. We don't bother polishing it. We’re more concerned with making sure the coffee is handled right. In the evenings, the air cools down a bit, and that’s usually our favorite time to sit for a minute before locking up. It’s a modest operation, but it keeps us fed and gives us something to do. We don't make big promises or use big words. We just show up in Perinad and do what needs to be done. It’s been that way for as long as we can remember.
