Kottackakathue Aswathy Chit Fund Private Limited is located in Kottackakathue Maveli, Panmana. This is in the Kollam district of Kerala. Our name is a bit of a mouthful for some, but the people living in Panmana know us well enough by now. We run a chit fund, which is a major part of how people in this area manage their money and savings. The office is right there in the Maveli area. It is a local spot where people feel comfortable just walking in to say hello. We do not have any big signs or bright neon lights outside. It is just a simple door and some windows. Inside, you will find some old wooden desks and plenty of paper files stacked up. Chit funds involve a lot of personal trust and regular monthly meetings. We see our members at least once a month, if not more often. Everyone knows everyone else’s business in a small place like Panmana. It is a very close-knit community. We handle the monthly auctions and the collections from the members. Sometimes it gets a bit loud and crowded when everyone shows up at the same time. Kollam is a beautiful place to live, and being in Panmana is nice because it is not as chaotic as the main city center. We just keep our heads down and do the daily work. The fans are always on, and we usually have a glass of water for anyone who comes in.
