Saruda Foods

Our place is tucked away at Mwra10-A Sreelakshmi in the Kochupilamoodu area. It is a busy little spot, especially in the early mornings when things are just getting started. You can usually smell what we are doing from the street before you even see the door. We spend most of our time in the kitchen or the prep area at the back. There is always someone chopping something or checking the heat on a stove. It is a bit of a squeeze in here, especially when we have a big order to get out by noon. The counters are usually covered in ingredients and various containers. We try to keep it organized, but when things get moving fast, it becomes a bit chaotic. Kochupilamoodu has its own rhythm, and we have become a part of that over the years. We know most of the people who walk by every day and they say hello. We do not have a big fancy storefront with lights. It is more about the food we make than how the building looks from the outside. The walls have a few stains from years of cooking, and the floor is worn down in the spots where we stand the most. We use old-fashioned methods because that is what we know. It takes longer, but we do not mind the extra effort. By the time we finish, we are all pretty tired.
