Down in Anoor, Kilikolloor, you will find our warehouse and office. Highrange Trading Distributing Co is mostly about moving goods from one place to another, so there is always a lot of lifting and loading going on. The yard is usually full of empty pallets and we have a couple of old trucks that we rely on. It’s a bit of a rough-and-ready setup, honestly. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint and the roof leaks a tiny bit when the monsoon is particularly heavy, but we make it work. Most of the guys working here are from the local neighborhood, so there is a lot of chatting in the mornings before the real work starts. We don't have a website or any of that fancy stuff; we just deal with people face-to-face or over the phone. The air smells like diesel and old cardboard most of the time. It is a tiring job, especially in the heat, but we have been doing it this way for a long time. We know the routes around Kilikolloor like the back of our hands. Lunch is usually a quick affair so we can get back to the loading docks. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to keep the deliveries moving on time and make sure everything gets where it needs to go. We keep it simple and stay busy.
