Kadavu Resorts/ The Raviz

Down here by Lake Ashtamudi, things move a bit slower than in the city. We are located in Thevally, right at Mathilil P.O. It is a beautiful spot, though the humidity can be a bit much sometimes in the afternoon. We spend our days looking after the grounds and making sure the water views are clear for everyone. The Raviz is a big name, but for those of us working here, it is just our daily routine. We check the boats, clear the garden paths, and wait for the breeze to pick up from the lake. The water is right there, and sometimes the local fishermen go by early in the morning before the sun is fully up. We have a lot of rooms to keep track of and it takes a lot of people to keep this place going. We do not really do much of that corporate talk. We would rather talk about the weather or how the fish are biting today. Some days the rain comes down so hard you cannot see the other side of the lake. We just stay under the roof and wait it out together. It is a lot of cleaning and a lot of walking across the property. The gardens need constant trimming because everything grows so fast in Kerala. We have some guys who have worked here for years. They know every corner of the resort and how everything works. We just try to keep things running smooth.
