Jm Posner Exports India Private Limited is based in the Kollakadavu Industrial Estate. We are in Building No. C-16 A&B, right by Janatha Machines. Working in an industrial estate means there is always the sound of machinery or trucks in the background. It is a productive place to be. We are in Survey 483, Sub Division 5, which sounds complicated but it is just a specific corner of the estate. The air here usually smells like metal and oil, which we have grown to like. Our space is divided between the office area and where we handle the exports. There is a lot of lifting and moving things around some days. We have a small crew and we all know each other well. It is not the kind of place where people wear suits. We wear what is comfortable for work. Some days it gets quite hot under the roof, so we have a few big fans going all the time. We spend a lot of time making sure the labels are right and the crates are packed properly. It is honest work, and it keeps us on our feet. We do not have much time for sitting around. When the whistle blows for lunch, we usually sit together and talk about anything other than work for a bit. Then it is back to the machines and the shipping orders until the day is over.
