Dhanya Super Market

Our supermarket sits at 30/462 on the Main Road. It’s right there on Ss Kovil Road in the Kadappakada area. Being on the main road means there is always noise from the cars and bikes outside. It’s a busy spot to be in. We spend most of our time stocking the shelves and talking to the customers who come in. It’s a lot of lifting heavy crates and checking the prices on everything. The tiles on the floor are a bit worn from everyone walking on them all day. We don’t have fancy lighting, just the regular tubes on the ceiling. Kadappakada is a good area to be in. People come in for their daily groceries after they finish work. It gets really crowded in the evenings when everyone is rushing. We have to move fast then. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late and we have to stay after closing to get everything put away on the shelves. It’s just the way a shop runs. We know which items sell fast and which ones sit for a while. The counter is usually piled with stuff people are buying. We use old fans to keep the air moving inside. It gets hot when the shop is full of people. We’ve been at this address for a while now. We don't have a big corporate office. We just stay here behind the counter and help people find what they need for their homes. It’s just a shop.
