We are based in Beri which is near the Ramnagar post office in the 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. It is a place that feels very local and traditional. Our office is a simple structure that we have used for a long time. We do a lot of erecting work and that means we are often busy with metal and heavy parts. The area around us is a mix of small houses and open land. We don't have a big gate or security guards. People just walk in when they need to talk to us about a project. The office has a couple of fans that make a lot of noise but they keep the air moving. We have a lot of paperwork piled up on the desks because we are always managing different sites at the same time. The local tea shop is where we go to discuss our plans for the day. Most of our workers live in the surrounding villages and have been with us for years. We don't use any complicated software or systems. We just write things down and make sure everyone knows what they are supposed to do. It can get very hot in the afternoons so we try to get the hardest work done early in the morning. We are just a local company that knows how to handle steel and build things. We don't make big promises we just do what is asked of us. That is the way it has always been.
