We are located at 109, Block-F in Newalipur. That is in the Kolkata-53 area. West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation L is the full name, but it’s a bit of a mouthful. We mostly just focus on the infrastructure work we do from this office. Newalipur is a pretty established neighborhood. Our building isn't anything fancy. It’s just a solid block with a lot of offices inside. We spend our days dealing with plans and technical stuff for housing projects. It’s a lot of sitting at desks and looking at blueprints. We don't have any promotional slogans or mission statements on the walls. We just have maps of the city and lists of projects. The work is steady and keeps us busy from morning until evening. Most of us have been working here for a long time, so we know each other well. We get our lunch from the local shops around Block-F. It’s a very normal, everyday kind of workplace. We don't try to sound more important than we are. We just handle the infrastructure side of things for West Bengal. Sometimes the monsoon makes the commute to Newalipur a bit difficult, but we always show up. It’s a practical job that requires a lot of patience and attention to detail.
