Vridhhi Udyogin

You can find us at number 22 on Tollygunj Circular Road, right in the New Alipore area. Vridhhi Udyogin has been operating out of this spot for quite some time now. The street outside is usually a bit of a mess with traffic, especially when it rains, which happens a lot in Kolkata. Our entrance is easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. Inside, it’s mostly just a lot of practical space for what we do. We don’t have any of those modern open-plan offices you see in magazines. It’s more about rows of desks and shelves filled with whatever we’re working on that week. The staff here mostly takes the bus or the local train to get in, so the morning is always a bit of a rush while everyone settles down with their first cup of tea. We spend a lot of time talking to vendors and checking on shipments. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when a big order comes in, and we’re all tripping over crates for a few days until we get it sorted. There’s a certain rhythm to the place that you only get after working here for a while. We don’t really do big meetings or fancy presentations. Usually, if there’s a problem, we just stand around someone’s desk and figure it out right there. It’s a straightforward way of working that seems to suit us just fine in this part of town and we hope to keep it that way.
