Vinayak Motors

Vinayak Motors is located at 223/C on Manicktala Main Road, right near the Kankurgachi Railway Bridge. It is a busy part of town with a lot of cars and people moving toward the bridge. We have been working on vehicles at this spot for quite some time. The garage is not huge, so we have to be careful about how we park the cars that come in for repairs. It is usually a bit loud with the sound of the trains passing overhead and the traffic on the main road. We do a lot of engine work and general servicing for the local cars. Our mechanics are local guys who know their way around most engines. We do not have a fancy waiting room with coffee or anything like that. Most people just drop off their keys and come back later. The walls are covered in old calendars and posters of car parts. We keep our tools on big rolling racks so we can move them around the shop easily. Sometimes we are working on a car right on the edge of the street if the shop is full. It is a bit messy and there is oil on the floor, but that is just how a real garage is. We enjoy being part of the Kankurgachi neighborhood and seeing the same faces come back when their cars need a bit of attention. The tea stall next door is where we spend our breaks, watching the traffic go by.
