Vesco Products Co.

Our shop is located at 66, Ezra Street. If you know this area, you know it is one of the busiest streets you can find. There are people and carts moving around all day long, and it can be quite a struggle just to get through the crowd sometimes. Vesco Products Co. has been part of this street for quite a while. The building is one of those old ones with narrow stairs and high ceilings. We have our main area where we keep the stock and a small corner where we sit to do the accounts. It is often dark inside because the buildings are so close together, so we keep the lights on even during the day. We spend a lot of time talking to people who walk in looking for specific items. Most of our day is spent climbing up and down ladders to reach the boxes on the top shelves. It is a bit of a dusty place, but that is common for Ezra Street. We don't have any fancy displays; we just know where everything is kept. When the monsoon hits, we have to be careful about the dampness coming through the walls. It is a very traditional way of doing business, where you know your customers by face and everyone on the street is a neighbor. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. It is not always easy with the noise and the heat, but we have been here so long that we don't really think about moving.
