If you come to see us in Kolkata, you will find us at Diamond City West, which is on Ho Chi Minh Sarani in the Behala area. We are in Tower-3, specifically Flat 2D. It is quite a change from the dusty plant sites since it is an apartment-style office setup. The traffic in Kolkata is always a bit of a nightmare, so getting to work in the morning can take a while depending on the time of day. Once you are inside, it is a lot quieter than the busy streets below. We handle the administrative side of the aluminum business here, so there is a lot of phone calling and typing going on. The windows look out over the city and you can see the sprawl of Behala. We have a small kitchen where we make tea and coffee throughout the day to keep ourselves going. It is not a huge space, but it fits our needs for keeping the records straight and talking to the people back at the main production sites in Orissa. Sometimes we have meetings that go on too long, and we end up ordering food from one of the nearby stalls downstairs. It feels very different from the heat of the smelting areas, but it is just as busy in its own way. We keep things pretty informal and just try to get through the pile of documents sitting on our desks before the sun goes down.
