We are located at 21, College St, right across from the Medical College in Bowbazar. It is a very busy area with students and hospital visitors constantly walking past our door. Valajee Sanitation Pvt Ltd has been here for quite some time. We have all sorts of pipes, fittings, and bathroom fixtures stacked around. It’s a bit of a jumble inside the shop. You have to watch your step so you don’t trip over a porcelain sink or a box of valves. The noise from College St is something you just get used to after a week or two. We spend our mornings unloading trucks and our afternoons helping people find the right size washers or pipes for their home repairs. Sometimes the humidity in Bowbazar makes the shop feel a bit stuffy, but we keep the fans going. We aren't trying to be a fancy showroom. We just have the parts people need. The building is old, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy for that. Customers come in looking for specific parts that are hard to find elsewhere. We usually have them tucked away in a back corner somewhere. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy crates and counting inventory. We just do our job and go home like everyone else in the neighborhood. The street lights outside flicker at night but we are usually gone by then.
