Usha International Ltd

Out in Kolkata, at 84 Garia Gardens, you’ll find our office. It’s a quiet spot in Garia Gardens, and Usha International Ltd has been operating from here for some time. The building is older, with that classic Kolkata feel to it. Inside, it’s mostly just us working on administrative tasks and keeping things running. We don't have big signs or anything too flashy. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We handle a lot of the back-end stuff for the products people use every day. It's a lot of data entry and checking orders. We don't have a corporate handbook telling us how to talk; we just speak normally to each other and the people who call in. Most of the staff have been here for a decade or more, so it feels like a second home. We take our lunch breaks together and talk about regular things, like the weather or local news. It’s a simple setup. We don't try to be the most innovative or the fastest; we just try to be consistent and do what’s expected of us. Sometimes the humidity makes everything feel a bit slow, but we keep the fans going and get through the pile of work on our desks. It’s just a regular office where we do our part every day. Nothing more, nothing less. We just keep the wheels turning as best as we can.
