Urbanarchitects

Urbanarchitects is situated at 1, Radha Kristo Seth Street in Pathuriaghata. This is an old part of North Kolkata, very close to the Jorabagan Police Station. The streets here are narrow and filled with old houses that have a lot of character. Our office is in one of those older buildings. It has thick walls and keeps fairly cool even when it's hot outside. We have been here for some time now. The workspace is simple. We have a couple of long tables where we put our laptops and papers. There is no air conditioning, just the big old ceiling fans that hum all day. We like the vibe of Pathuriaghata. It feels very traditional. There are always people selling things on the street and the smell of food from the nearby houses. It's not a corporate environment at all. We wear casual clothes and talk to the neighbors when we go out for a break. Sometimes the street gets flooded if it rains too hard, which is just part of living in this area. We don't have any high-tech security, just a heavy wooden door with a big lock. We spend our days drawing and planning. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just come to the office, sit down, and start working on whatever project is next on the list. Usually, someone brings some snacks to share in the late afternoon while we talk.
