Our office is located at 16, 1st Floor on Netaji Subhas Road. It’s an old building, the kind you find all over this part of the city. Universal Gears And Manufacturing Co. is a long name to put on a door, but we make it fit. Being on the 1st floor means we hear everything that goes on down on the street. Netaji Subhas Road is never really quiet. There’s always a horn honking or someone shouting, but we’ve learned to tune it out over the years. The stairs up to our place are a bit steep and narrow. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, papers, and the sound of people talking on the phone or working on designs. We aren't a big flashy company with a lobby or a receptionist. Usually, whoever is closest to the door is the one who says hello. It’s a very hands-on way of running a business. We spend our days looking over manufacturing schedules and making sure things are being built right. The walls could probably use some new paint, but we’re more focused on the work than the decor. It’s a busy spot, and we like being right in the middle of the action here. People who know the area find us easily enough. We’ve been at number 16 for a long time, and we don't plan on moving anywhere else anytime soon. It suits us just fine for what we need to do.
