You can find us at 45 Haldar Para Road, which is right in the Kalighat area of Kolkata. We’ve been operating United Conveyor Corporation (I)Pvt Ltd from this old neighborhood for quite a few years. It’s a busy part of the city, and the roads can be a bit narrow, but it’s home for us. We mostly deal with industrial conveyor systems. Our office isn't one of those new glass towers. It’s a regular building where we keep our files and meet with clients. Most of the real work happens at the various factory sites we visit. We spend a lot of time traveling around to check on installations or to fix something that’s broken down. We have a small team here. Most of us have been working together for a long time. We don’t have a corporate handbook or any fancy slogans. We just know how to fix conveyors and keep them running. It’s a lot of technical work, but we try to explain it in simple terms to people. The tea stall around the corner is where we usually take our breaks. It’s a practical way to run a business in Kolkata. We aren't looking to take over the world, just to do a good job for the companies that hire us. If you’re near Kalighat, our door is usually open during the day.
