Ucc(India)

We are based in Calcutta at 15/1 Ramlal Agarwala Lane. It’s right near Sinthee More. If you know the area, you know it’s one of those old parts of the city with narrow lanes and lots of history. Ucc(India) operates out of a regular building there. It’s not easy to find if you aren't looking closely because the lane is quite small and looks like many others. We’ve been here for a long time. The office inside is a bit old-fashioned. We have high ceilings and some old fans that hum all day long. It gets quite humid in Calcutta, so those fans are important. We handle our business by sitting around the big wooden tables we’ve had for years. There’s always the sound of rickshaws and people talking outside. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't have any modern glass partitions or bright lights. Most of our work involves keeping track of orders and making sure the logistics are moving. We drink a lot of chai from the stall at the corner of Sinthee More. It’s a simple life. We don't try to pretend to be anything we aren't. We just provide what we do from this little corner of the city. The neighbors know us, and we know them. It’s the kind of place where you stop to talk for a minute before getting back to the paperwork and we wouldn't have it any other way.
