Our office is situated at 124, Ustad Enayet Khan Avenue, which many people still call Karaya Road. It’s a lively part of the city with plenty of things happening right outside our front door. The building itself has some character, and we’ve tried to make the most of the space we have inside. We handle a variety of international trade matters, so the desks are usually covered in documents and shipping schedules. It’s not a very big team, so everyone ends up helping out with whatever needs doing, whether it’s answering the phone or packing up a sample. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to worry about that. We have a window that looks out onto the street, and it’s easy to get distracted by the people passing by or the street vendors selling snacks. It’s a grounded kind of place. We don’t use much fancy technology beyond the basics needed to stay in touch with people overseas. Most of our days are spent coordinating between different parties and making sure the logistics side of things doesn't fall apart. It’s a bit of a juggle sometimes. We’ve been on Karaya Road for a good stretch of time now and feel like a real part of the neighborhood. It’s just a normal office where we put in a solid day’s work.
