Tractors India Limited (Til)

Our spot is at 66A Amherst Row in Kolkata. It’s an old part of the city, and the buildings have a lot of character, even if they need a bit of paint. Tractors India Limited, or Til, has been operating out of here for quite some time. The streets are narrow, and it can be a bit of a squeeze when the delivery trucks come by. We have high ceilings and those old-style windows that let in the breeze when it’s not too hot. It’s a very different vibe from the new office blocks in Salt Lake. We deal with the day-to-day operations for the machinery. There is always a pile of paperwork on someone’s desk. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the business. The neighbors are mostly families who have lived here for generations. You can hear the trams and the general hum of the city from our desks. It’s a bit messy sometimes, with files tucked into every corner. We don’t have a fancy lobby. If you come by, you’ll probably just see us working away. The monsoons are always a challenge because the street can flood a little, but we are used to it by now. It’s a real, living part of Kolkata, and we feel right at home here. We just keep things moving as best as we can every single day. There is no point in complicating things when simple work is what matters.
