Amkay Textiles

Our location is 57/1C Topsia Road South. It’s an area known for this kind of work, so we fit right in with the surroundings. Amkay Textiles is basically a warehouse and a small office space rolled into one. There are rolls of fabric everywhere, sometimes stacked up high enough that it's hard to see the back wall. The air usually smells a bit like dust and new cloth. It’s not a clean, polished showroom; it’s a place where work actually happens. We spend our time checking meters and moving things around to make sure the right stuff goes out. It can get pretty chaotic when several deliveries arrive at the same time. The floor is concrete and can be hard on the feet after a long day. We don't have fancy decorations or a reception desk. Usually, you just walk in and find one of us among the piles. The noise from Topsia Road is constant, but you get used to it after a week or two. We just try to keep the inventory sorted, though it doesn't always stay that way for long. It’s a lot of physical work and keeping track of numbers in notebooks. We’re just local people doing the textile thing and trying to keep the business going in a sensible way. It’s plain and simple work for us, and we just keep it moving every day without much fuss.
