Tony S Customs House Agent has been running out of the second floor here at Poddar Court for a long time now. If you know Sun Yet Sen Street, you probably know how busy it gets around the Bowbazar area. It is not the fanciest office you will ever see, but we keep things moving and stay on top of the paperwork. Mostly we deal with all those forms and customs clearances that come with moving goods from one place to another. It involves a lot of sitting at desks and making sure every single number matches up like it should. Sometimes the lift in the building is slow or just stops working altogether, so we end up taking the stairs more than we would like. We have seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but the core of the work stays pretty much the same. Most days it is just about keeping the files organized and answering the phone when someone has a question about where their shipment is. It is a small team here. We do not have a big reception area or anything flashy like that. Just a few desks piled with papers and some old filing cabinets that have seen better days. Being right behind Poddar Court means we are in the middle of everything, which is convenient for the paperwork runs. We do not spend money on fancy signs because folks usually find us through word of mouth. It is just what we do.
