Shree Seth Jewellers

Our shop, Shree Seth Jewellers, is right at No. 55 Station Road in Titagarh. If you know the area, you know how busy Station Road gets, especially when the trains come in. There is a constant flow of people walking past our front window. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. The shop has a heavy metal door and glass counters that we spend a lot of time cleaning. It’s a small space, but we make it work for us. We spend our days looking at small pieces of gold and various stones. It’s quiet work compared to the noise from the street outside. We see families coming in for all sorts of reasons. Some are getting ready for a big wedding and others just want a small gift for a birthday. We don't really do any fancy advertising or marketing. Most people know we are here because they walk past us every day on their way to the station. We sit on stools behind the counters and wait for customers to come in and chat. Sometimes it’s busy and other times we just sit and talk about what's happening in the news. Titagarh is a hardworking place and we feel like we fit in perfectly. We keep our tools nearby for any small repairs people bring in. It’s a simple life running a shop on Station Road. We close up when the sun goes down and the crowds eventually thin out. It’s been our routine for years and we’re used to the rhythm of the trains.
