Thiess

Thiess has its presence in Kolkata, which is a city that has a very specific kind of energy. It is a place filled with old heritage buildings, iconic yellow taxis, and a lot of noise and people. We are just one of the many companies that call this part of West Bengal home. Our daily work life involves dealing with the high humidity and the crowded streets that characterize the city. The office is our base where we handle project management and all the regular paperwork that keeps things moving. It is not always easy to navigate the city, especially during the monsoon when some streets might get a bit flooded, but we are used to it by now. We have a diverse group of people working in our Kolkata office. Some have lived here their whole lives and others have moved here for work. We don’t really have any big stories or fancy slogans to share about ourselves. We are just here to do our jobs and make sure our projects are on track. Most of our day is spent at our desks or in small meetings, working through the tasks we have. We usually get our lunch from the local shops nearby or bring tiffins from home. It is a very normal, grounded work environment. We aren't interested in using corporate jargon. We just focus on the work at hand and try to be as practical as possible every single day. It is just the way we do things.
