The Phosphate Co. Ltd. has its main office at 14 Netaji Subhas Road, which is a part of town with lots of offices and old buildings. If you walk down the street, you will see a lot of history and ours is one of those established spots. We have been here for a long time and the place definitely has that old-school feel to it. Most of our work involves dealing with phosphate products and fertilizers, so we are often talking to distributors and factory managers. The office is quite large but it is mostly filled with old furniture and stacks of ledgers. It gets very busy during the planting seasons because that is when the demand for our products really picks up. You can hear the constant clatter of the street outside and the occasional shouting of the tea sellers. We don't have any of those modern glass partitions or fancy coffee machines you see in newer offices. We just have a few fans that hum all day and a lot of people working hard at their desks. Our staff members have a lot of experience and most of them have been with the company for decades. It is a steady kind of business and we don't really go in for much change unless it is absolutely necessary. We just keep doing what we have always done, which is moving goods to where they need to go.
