You can find Thar Marbles over at 86/2A Topsia Road South. We are right near the E M Bypass and Govinda Khatick Road. It’s a busy intersection and can be a bit confusing if you haven't been here before. We have a lot of marble stock here, mostly big slabs leaned up against the walls. It’s a bit of a yard and a bit of an office. The ground is usually covered in a little bit of white dust because that’s the nature of the marble business. We have all sorts of stones, from simple ones to more colorful ones. My brother and I run the place along with two helpers who do the heavy lifting. It's not a fancy showroom with air conditioning and marble floors. It’s a working warehouse. We wear boots and old clothes because it’s messy work. We get customers looking for flooring for their new homes or small contractors needing a few pieces for a job. We don't have a big marketing plan. We just put our sign out front and wait for people to stop by. Sometimes we sit on the plastic chairs outside and watch the traffic go by on the bypass while we wait for the next truck to arrive. It’s a simple life, and we’ve been doing it this way for years. We just make sure the stone is cut right and the customer is satisfied with the slabs they picked.
