Tele Net

You can find Tele Net at 12 Pollock Street. It’s an old part of the city, and our office reflects that. We don’t have the latest designer furniture or a coffee bar. We just have desks, phones, and a lot of cables running everywhere. Pollock Street is always crowded with people and sellers, so it’s never a dull moment outside our door. We’ve been based here for a long time, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the decades. Our work is mainly about keeping people connected. It’s technical and sometimes frustrating when things don’t sync up right, but we’ve got the hang of it now. We don’t go in for big speeches or polished presentations. Usually, we just answer the phone and try to figure out the problem. The stairs up to the office are a bit steep and they creak, and the lighting could be better, but it’s our space. We know where everything is. Most of our clients are locals who know where to find us if they need help. It’s a very hands-on type of business. We don't have a big corporate hierarchy; we all just pitch in where needed. It’s just a group of us trying to keep the lines open and the signals clear enough for people to do their own work. It's a living, and we like the bustle of the street.
