Techno Electric & Engineering Co Ltd is situated at 39, D.Gupta Lane in the Kolkata 50 area. This part of North Kolkata has its own character, with narrow streets and old houses all around us. Our office fits right into the neighborhood. It’s a functional space where we handle all the engineering and electrical tasks that come our way. You won’t find any shiny logos or glass partitions here. It’s mostly wooden desks, old shelves full of binders, and piles of electrical components. The lane outside can get quite cramped when people are moving goods, but that’s just life in this part of the city. We have a small crew, and we’ve mostly been working together for years. We know each other's habits and how we like our tea. During the monsoon, we have to keep an eye on the roof, but generally, the building holds up well. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at diagrams. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. We don't spend money on advertising or making things look pretty for visitors. We just focus on the engineering problems we have to solve. It’s a noisy, busy, and honest place to work. We are just regular people trying to do a decent job every day in our little corner of Kolkata.
