Down on Trenching Ground Road in Kolkata, you’ll find our office for Techno Electric & Engg. Co. Ltd. We are at D 247, which is a fairly industrial area near the 700024 zone. The road itself is busy with trucks and commercial traffic most of the day. Our building is a big, practical space meant for engineering work and storing the supplies we need for electrical projects. It’s not the most scenic part of West Bengal, but it’s where the work happens. Inside, the ceilings are high and it can get a bit echoey when the machines are off. We have a lot of space for our gear, which is lucky because we have quite a bit of it. The guys here are usually dressed in work clothes, and there is always a pot of tea being shared somewhere. We don't bother with fancy carpets or expensive furniture. We have sturdy tables and chairs that can handle the daily wear and tear. It’s a bit of a commute for some of us, but we’ve been at this location for a while now. The rain sometimes floods the street a little, but we just carry on. We are basically just a group of people who enjoy the technical side of things and don't mind getting our hands dirty when the job calls for it.
