Our spot is at 183 Shibtala Street in Bhadrakali, over in the Hooghly district. It is a bit of an older area and the streets can be quite narrow, but we have our office tucked away there in the Uttarpara police station limits. Working in West Bengal means we have to plan around the local weather and the busy traffic, especially when we are moving equipment around. The building we are in is pretty simple and we use it as a base for our project teams who are out in the field most of the day. We have been here for a while and have a routine where we meet up in the morning, have some tea, and go over the plan for the day’s work. There is always a lot of paperwork to file and coordination to handle between the different sites. It is a practical office, nothing too special to look at, but it serves its purpose for our engineering and construction tasks. Sometimes the monsoon rains make things difficult on the roads nearby, but we just adjust our schedules and keep going. We are mostly focused on the technical side of the projects we have in the region. It is steady work and the team knows the local area well enough to handle any small issues that pop up. Just a regular bunch of people trying to finish their projects and keep the paperwork in order.
