Down at 13/1/A Nurmull Lohia Lane, things stay pretty busy for Maateshwari Trading Company. The lane is narrow and there are always carts and people moving about, which makes unloading stuff a bit of a challenge sometimes. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a long time. It’s not a big space, but we make it work by stacking things high. We deal with all sorts of trading goods, and the inventory changes depending on the week. Some days the warehouse area feels like a maze because of all the new arrivals. We don't really bother with a lot of decorations or anything like that. The walls are plain and the floor is concrete. It’s a place for work, not for showing off. We know the other traders on the lane, and we often help each other out when someone’s truck is blocking the way. The heat in the summer can be tough since the air doesn't move much in these narrow streets, but we just keep the fans going and stay hydrated. We don't spend money on big ads or marketing. Most of our business comes from people who have been dealing with us for years and know where to find us. We just keep it simple and focus on the daily tasks of buying and selling whatever needs to be moved. It’s a steady way to spend the day and it keeps us on our toes.
