Our office is on the ground floor of Santosh Apartment on Vidyasagar Road, right in the Dum Dum Cantonment area. It’s a decent spot, though the noise from the street can be a bit much when we’re trying to concentrate on the numbers. We’ve got a lot of history in this part of Kolkata. The office is pretty small, mostly filled with filing cabinets and a few desks that have seen better days. We don't really care about the looks of the place as long as the work gets done. Most of our day is spent talking to the foremen and checking on the progress of various sites around the city. The traffic near the airport can make things difficult when we need to get somewhere fast. We’ve learned to plan around it. We aren’t really interested in using big corporate phrases to explain what we do. We just build things. Whether it's a road or a foundation, we focus on the materials and the labor. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet is slow, but we just keep going. The guys usually drop by in the evenings to drop off their reports, and that’s when the place gets really crowded. It’s a lot of long hours and manual labor, but it’s what we’ve always done. We just keep our heads down and worry about the next project on the list. That is all we do.
