Our name is Tantia Construction Ltd and we are over at 14/10, Old Calcutta Road1. This is a pretty practical spot for us to be in. Working in construction means we deal with a lot of heavy lifting, literally and figuratively. The office is where we handle the logistics, the payroll, and the endless piles of paper that come with every project. We don't have any interest in sounding like a big polished corporation. We’re just a team of folks who know how to get things built. You’ll usually find us wearing regular clothes, maybe a bit of mud on the shoes if we just came from a site. Old Calcutta Road is where the planning happens before we send the crews out. It’s a lot of work making sure we have enough materials and that the timing is right. We have our good days and our bad days just like any other business. Sometimes a project gets delayed because of things we can't control, and we just have to work through it. We aren't here to make big promises; we just do the work as it comes. It’s a gritty job, but someone has to do it. We’ve been around the block a few times and we know the local landscape well. That's pretty much the story of our shop. We just keep the motors running and the crews busy on whatever needs building next. It is not glamorous but it keeps us busy and the bills paid through the month.
