Ripun Street is a busy place and we’ve been tucked away here at No. 3 Abdul Ali Row for a good while. Tringular Park is right nearby, so there is always some noise coming from the traffic and the people walking by the shops. At Westlake Import Export Pvt. Ltd., our daily routine is pretty much the same. We handle the paperwork, check on the arrivals, and try to keep things moving. The tackle shop downstairs has its own crowd, and sometimes it gets a bit confusing for people looking for our office upstairs. The building is older, and the stairs can be a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up again. We’ve got desks piled with files and the phone rings more than we’d sometimes like. Most of us have been working together in this part of town for years. You get used to the sounds of the neighborhood after a while. Lunch is usually something quick from a local vendor because nobody wants to lose their parking spot if they drive out. It isn't a flashy office with modern glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a functional space where we get the import and export work handled day in and day out. We know the neighbors and the local postman, and we just keep at it. It is honest work in a part of the city that never really seems to quiet down much.
