Shrobonee Hearing Aid Center

If you’ve ever been near the Shyambazar crossing, you know how loud and busy it gets. Our center at No. 86-1 BT Road is right in the thick of it, close to the Tala Post Office and the RG Kar bus stop. At Shrobonee Hearing Aid Center, we spend our days listening to the sounds of the traffic outside while we help people inside. The Barrackpore Trunk Road is never quiet, but once you step through our door, it calms down a little bit. It’s not a huge clinic, just a couple of rooms where we do our tests and talk to the folks who come in to see us. We get a lot of elderly people who have lived in this part of the city their whole lives. Sometimes we just sit and talk with them for a while before getting down to the actual work. The walls are a plain color and we have a few old chairs for people to wait in. It’s a very local feel here. We aren't part of some giant chain; we're just part of the neighborhood. Being so close to the bus stop means there's always a crowd outside, but it makes it easy for people to find the building. We don’t use any complicated jargon or big words. We just try to be helpful and explain things in a way that makes sense to everyone. It’s just us here, trying to make things a little easier for people.
