Sushmit International

Sushmit International is located at 18/4J on Fern Road in Ballygunge. It’s a pretty nice part of town, actually. Not as loud as the main markets, which we appreciate. We handle various international things, mostly paperwork and coordinating shipments. Our office is a bit small, but it fits us just fine. There are desks piled with documents and a couple of computers that have seen better days. We spend a lot of time on the phone or sending emails to people in different time zones. It’s a lot of waiting for replies sometimes. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist at the front. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just opens it when someone knocks. We’ve been at this Fern Road address for quite some time now. We know the local tea stall guy and the other businesses nearby. It’s a quiet routine for us. Some days the internet goes slow and we all just have to sit and wait, which is frustrating but part of life. We aren't some massive corporation with hundreds of employees in glass buildings. It's just a handful of us making sure the goods get from one place to another. We try to keep our files in order, though the stacks of paper never seem to get any smaller no matter how much we file away. It’s just how we run things here. No pretenses, just a local business doing its thing in Ballygunge every day.
