Our branch is set up near the Dreamland Hotel on the HPL Link Road in Basudevpur. This is right in the Haldia area of West Bengal. We are actually operating out of Arun Kumar Giri's place. If you know Haldia, you know it is all about the port and the industrial plants. The air usually has that heavy, industrial smell and there are trucks everywhere you look. Our office is right in the thick of it. It is a dusty area because of all the construction and heavy vehicles moving around. We handle goods transport, which means we spend our days dealing with drivers, cargo manifests, and the occasional mechanical delay. It is a very hands-on environment. There isn't much room for fancy talk here. We just sit around the desk and figure out the best way to get a load moved from point A to point B. The weather can be a bit harsh, either too hot or pouring rain, but the work doesn't stop. We have a good relationship with the other businesses along the Link Road. Most of us are just trying to get through the day's tasks without too much trouble. It is a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We don't have a marketing department; we just have people who know how to move freight through West Bengal. That is just how we do things here.
