Working out of 1703 in the Chatterjee International Centre at 33A Jawaharlal Nehru Road means we spend a lot of time looking out at the city from the 17th floor. Suraj (India) Pvt. Ltd. has been based in this building for quite a while. It’s a busy place with a lot of different offices, so the lobby is always full of people waiting for the elevators. Our specific unit, 17F R3, is just a regular office space. We have desks, some filing cabinets that have seen better days, and a few printers that act up every now and then. It isn't a glamorous setup, but it’s where we get everything handled. The walk from the elevator to our door is something we do so often we don't even think about it anymore. Most of the day is spent looking at screens or talking to people on the phone. It’s a bit quiet in our corner compared to the noise of the traffic down on the main road. We keep things pretty simple here. There aren't any big posters or fancy furniture. It’s just a group of people trying to keep the paperwork moving and the orders straight. It gets the job done and we’ve grown comfortable with the small quirks of this office over the years. It's just a regular workplace in a big building. There is nothing too special about it, but it works for us every day.
