Star Hide Company

We’ve been here at 19B, Syed Amir Ali Avenue for quite some time now. Most people know the building, it is just off the main stretch and can be a bit busy during the day. Star Hide Company is basically just a few of us working with leather hides every day. It gets a bit dusty in the back rooms where we keep the stock, but that is just part of the job when you deal with raw materials. People sometimes walk in looking for specific pieces or just to see what we have on the shelves for their own projects. We do not really do fancy displays or anything like that. It is mostly stacks of material and a few of us trying to keep things organized. The neighborhood has changed a lot over the years with more traffic and new shops, but we stay put in this spot. If you come by, you will probably find someone drinking tea near the front entrance or moving heavy rolls around the floor. We try to keep things simple. Dealing with leather is not really a clean or quiet business, but we like it here well enough. It is a practical setup and we do not need much else to get through the orders. The stairs are a bit narrow and the lighting is old, but we just handle the hides and talk to the regulars. We just do what we do and try not to make a big fuss about anything.
