St Valentine Institute

Our place is located at 1/1 Fern Road in the Ballygunge area of Kolkata. It is a nice old part of the city, very close to the Gariahat Market, so there is always something going on nearby. St Valentine Institute is tucked away a bit but once you find Fern Road, it is easy enough. We have been in this building for a while. It has that classic Kolkata feel to it, maybe a bit cramped at times but it works for what we do. We mostly deal with students who are looking for some extra support with their classes. The noise from the market carries over sometimes but inside it is usually alright for studying. We have a few staff members who have been here since the start. We do not really have a big corporate structure. It is more like a local operation where everyone knows what their job is. You can see the tram lines and the busy street life just a short walk away. We like being in this part of town because it is so central for everyone. Students can grab a snack nearby after they finish their sessions. We keep the rooms simple with just the basic stuff needed for teaching. Nothing fancy, no big signs with lights, just a small board outside. We mostly rely on the fact that people in Ballygunge talk to each other. If someone needs help with their studies, they eventually find their way to our door. It is just a simple, honest place for learning.
