Srijan Projects Limited, Kolkata

Our office is tucked away in Santoshpur, over at Rani Rashmoi Bagan. It’s a busy part of Kolkata. If you know the 429 number, that’s where you’ll find the Srijan Projects team working most days. We spend most of our mornings dealing with phone calls and checking on the various project sites we have going on. It’s a lot of back and forth between the desk and the field. The office is usually a bit cluttered with blueprints and tea cups. We aren't really the type to have a polished reception area. People just walk in when they need something. The neighborhood is pretty lively and there’s always something happening on the street outside. We’ve been working out of this spot for some time. We handle the usual project management things. It’s mostly just making sure the materials arrive and the workers know what they are doing for the day. Sometimes we have meetings that go on too long and the tea gets cold. Kolkata summers are no joke so the fans are always on high. We just try to get the work finished without too many headaches. It’s not always easy with the traffic and the red tape you have to deal with in this city. But we like being in Santoshpur. It feels like a real community here. We know the shopkeepers nearby. It’s just a regular office doing regular building work for people around the city.
