Srijan Mushroom

We’re located at 28/1A Selimpure Road. It’s a specialized kind of place since we focus on mushrooms. Growing them takes a lot of attention to the environment, so our space is set up specifically for that. It’s not your typical retail store. It stays a bit damp and cool inside, which is exactly how the mushrooms like it. We spend a lot of time checking the trays and making sure everything is growing right. Selimpure Road is a good spot for us. It’s accessible enough for when we need to send out the fresh batches. We’ve had to learn a lot over the years through trial and error. Some days things go perfectly, and other days we’re scratching our heads. It’s just how it goes with living things. The neighbors occasionally ask what’s going on inside because of the setup. We don't have any big flashy signs. Just a small plate with the name. It’s a quiet business for the most part. We start early in the morning when the air is still fresh. Keeping the quality consistent is what we focus on every day. It’s a lot of manual work, moving things around and cleaning up. We're just a small group of people doing something we understand well. There’s always bags of substrate lying around and the smell of earth is pretty strong. It's a bit messy, but it works for what we are trying to do here.
