Sric Office, Iit, Kharagpur

We operate out of an office on Old Sahara Road in New Barrackpur. It is located in the Lichu Bagan area of Kolkata, which is a bit of a distance from the main IIT campus in Kharagpur, but this is where we handle a lot of the administrative side of things. The office at number 110 is usually filled with papers, files, and people trying to coordinate various projects. It is not a very large building, just a regular place where we sit and do the daily tasks required for the research and industrial coordination work. The commute through Kolkata can be a bit of a headache sometimes, but we are used to it. We deal with a lot of data and communication between the institute and different partners. It isn't exactly high-pressure all the time, but there is always something that needs filing or an email that needs an answer. Most of the staff has been around for a while, so we know the routine pretty well. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. It is just desks, chairs, and computers. People drop in to drop off documents or sign things quite often. The neighborhood around Lichu Bagan is mostly residential and quiet compared to the center of the city, which is nice for getting some actual work done without too much distraction. We just keep the wheels turning for the Sric projects from this little corner of Kolkata.
